After I said bye to my childhood home on Sunday for perhaps the last time, I felt a little a lot down. With a message invite on Facebook to go on a road trip to St. Augustine with a few of my friends, I took the chance to do something that would take school, stress, leaving my old house behind, and everything else that was stressing me out off of my mind. A rather impulsive move but it was a really good one.
With a fun car trip and the lovely scenic route, we found our way and spent the majority of the day just walking around, going into little shops, spending a lot of money on incense (well it was a really good deal..) and for me finding awesome vintage concert posters from the Beatles and Buddy Holly. We also invested in some really nice friendship bracelets. It's such a picture perfect day right? Three girls with their token gay friend (kidding obviously, well not about the gay part but you get what I mean).
We ate at this cafe place with the cutest waiters and they played Bon Iver. Bon Iver. Needless to say I was in heaven. It's things like this that make me really appreciative of what I have and that I'm able to do these things with such amazing people. Other teenagers waste their lives away but I find it's much nicer to get out and do something unexpected than sit inside and do nothing. Regardless, pushing everything away for a while was nice, but now, I have to get back to reality. But hey, now we have a new tradition. A monthly trip to St. Augustine to get outside and spend some time together.
